Madrid - Ciudad Rodrigo - Porto
Jour 4
We’ll depart early from Madrid, heading towards the Castile region. Our first stop will be at the Mirador de los Cuatro Postes, offering a breathtaking view of the magnificent walls of Ávila. Near the border with Portugal, we’ll make a stop in Ciudad Rodrigo for a stroll through its medieval streets, where we’ll admire its cathedral and ancient city walls. We’ll then continue our journey to Porto.Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a 50-minute cruise along the Douro River aboard a traditional Portuguese "Rabelo" boat, offering a unique perspective of the city’s beautiful riverside. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to explore the lively medieval Ribeira district, known for its narrow streets lined with historic merchant houses and charming cafés, before heading to the hotel.Note: If the number of passengers traveling from Madrid to Porto is very low, this leg of the journey may be completed by plane, in which case the stop in Ciudad Rodrigo will be canceled.
We’ll head south, starting with a visit to Coimbra, the third-largest city in Portugal, known for its historic university and charming steep streets. Next, we’ll stop at the Batalha Monastery, an impressive medieval building where kings are buried. Afterward, we’ll have time for lunch and a stroll in Nazaré, a fishing town and seaside resort. Here, we’ll take the “elevator” up to the old city for stunning ocean views. On our way to Lisbon, we’ll stop in Óbidos, one of the most beautiful towns in Portugal, with its white streets full of flowers. We’ll arrive in Lisbon in the evening.

Jour 6
In the morning, we´ll embark on a sightseeing tour of Lisbon, exploring the Portuguese capital of the seven hills, with its charming alleys, iconic tiles, the feeling of "saudade," and the beautiful Atlantic light. We’ll also visit the Belem neighborhood, from where the great Portuguese navigators set sail to cross the oceans in the 15th century. Free time in the afternoon to walk and go to the Bairro Alto and its viewpoint; if you’d like to, you could take an optional trip to the towns of Sintra, Cascais and Estoril. In the evening, we’ll return to the hotel from the lively Restauradores Square, filled with vibrant bars and cafes.
